Authentication: To prove WHO signed, eCert references the person’s ID information in the audit trail of the electronically signed document.

Securing the Data: To prove WHAT was signed, eCert records and secures the exact contents of a signed document using electronic signature technology. Once a document or form is signed electronically using eCert, the integrity of the data is secured and an audit trail is permanently embedded within the document.

Enforcing Business Rules: The approval process in the electronic world must do more than just provide electronic signing and data authentication capabilities. It must also manage and automate signatures as part of an entire authenticated, business approval process. eCert features the nuances of real-world signing processes as closely as possible, while maintaining the authenticity of the document as it moves through the process.
