eCert Help · Frequently Asked Questions

This section is designed to assist you with common questions related to using the eCert Website submission system.

The Add Consignments Button is Not Available

Q: I have just registered, and acknowledged my Registration email. Now that I am logged on, why can't I use the "Add Consignment" button. It is grayed out.
A: Even though you are registered, your Authorising Body still needs to confirm you before they approve you to use the system. This is something that can take a few hours. If you still can't use this feature after about one working day, we suggest you call them and find out why.

I Want to Clear My Signature or Logo

Q: I have realised that I no longer need my Company Logo, but there is no way to clear it. How do I remove it?
A: Just download this blank one (right-click and 'save as'), and upload this in its place.

I Cannot Preview My Document

Q: When I click the Preview Button, nothing happens
A: You may be prevented from previewing because of browser or pop-up blocker restrictions. You should allow pop-ups for *.ecertify.com.au For example, if you have GOOGLE task bar installed, you need to allow pop-ups for this site. In Internet Explorer, you will find settings under Tools/Pop-up Blocker. In Firefox, you will find settings under the Options/Content tab.

I Have Registered But Cannot Log On

Q: I have just registered, but I can not log in.
A: After you first Register, you will be sent an email to acknowledge your details. To complete the registration you need to click on the link provided in this email.

My Certificate of Origin Clauses are Either Blank or Incorrect

Q: I have created a Consignment, but my Clauses are not correct, and my Certificate has been rejected.
A: If you are registered to more than one Authorising Body, or in some other situations, you will find that these clauses relate to another Authorising Body. To update them, Create a new Consignment, and before saving for the first time, make sure you select the correct Authorising Body. Now go to the new Certificate Of Origin for the newly created consignment, and Copy the Clause at the bottom. Select the Consignment you wish to Update, and Paste, then Save. Repeat for all clauses.

My Signature Looks Squashed

Q: I have uploaded my signature, but it does not look Right
A: It is important that you upload the signature with the correct background size. We have made this as simple and clear as we can HERE, but if you still have problems, talk to a Technical person.

Certified Declarations and Non Australian Made Goods

Q: We re-export overseas made goods. Can you have a Certificate of Original that is NOT Australian made.
A: YES. What you are referring to is a Certified Declaration of Origin, which is specifically for this purpose.
Have a look here to see how to convert your Certificate of Origin to a Certified Declaration of Origin.
