How To Convert a Certificate of Origin to a Certified Declaration

You can amend the Certificate of Origin title, clauses and a column title as explained below if you need to export goods which are not made in Australia, and need to be Certified by a Chamber of Commerce. The modified layout is referred to as a Certified Declaration of Origin.

Step 1: Create a Template

Create a New Consignment, and make sure you have the Authorising Body you wish to use selected.

We suggest you create a "Template" if you do this regularly, by creating a new Consignment and labeling the Exporter Reference "Cert. Declaration" and the invoice number "TEMPLATE". This Consignment can be Duplicated and edited whenever a new Certified Declaration is required.

Step 2: Modify the Certificate

The Certified Declaration is Chamber specific, and the Clauses you replace must be correct. We will provide you with the text below. The Sections you need to modify are shown (use Copy/Paste):

5.  Right Clause	I, the undersigned, being duly authorised by the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry to sign documentary evidence of origin of goods, hereby certify that, to the best of my knowledge and belief, this document has been signed by an officer of the company who has been authorised to sign documentary evidence of origin of goods on behalf of that company. The stamp of the company is applied hereto.
